Biosketch:

Doctor Ozgur Ozyilkan graduated from Hacettepe University School of Medicine in 1987 and completed a residency in Internal Medicine in 1991 and in Medical Oncology in 1994. Dr. Ozyilkan is currently a Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Baskent in Ankara City, Turkey. He has an active interest in palliative care in oncology and has performed numerous supportive care investigations working. He has authored or co-authored 100 publications in peer reviewed journals. He is founder the palliative care working group of the European Society for Medical Oncology Dr. Ozyilkan' active clinical practice is focused on clinical oncology. He is particularly interested in the management of lung cancer and breast cancer disorders. He is the Director of the Medical Oncology Department at the Baskent University, Ankara Turkey.  Dr. Ozyilkan is a member of a number of professional societies several of which he has served in a leadership role.
